Cambodia forms new gov't despite opposition boycott
The Cambodian ruling party's 68 newly-elected lawmakers voted today as a package to elect the parliament's leadership and to grant confidence to the new five-year-term government led by Prime Minister Hun Sen despite a boycott by the opposition's 55 lawmakers.

The vote was held by raising hands during the fifth legislature of the National Assembly, China's Xinhua news agency reported.
All participating lawmakers unanimously elected ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP)'s honorary president Heng Samrin as the president of the fifth legislature of the National Assembly and approved the formation of the new government under the leadership of Hun Sen.
Hun Sen, 61, who has been in power for 28 years, will be sworn in for another five-year term this afternoon at the Royal Palace.
