Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob has denied that there are efforts to develop a spiritual tourism project in Gambang, Kuantan.

However, he did not deny that the state government had approved 101.2 hectares of land to a developer to build houses and shopping centres in the area.

Adnan said, the company was looking for other developers as partners for the development project.

However, he said, there were reports of a company which had met with the main developer and planned a spiritual tourism project in the area.

"I want it to be known that such a project was never discussed and will not be  allowed in Pahang. It is all a fraud and as I understand, an effort to collect money," he told reporters after chairing the Pahang state executive council meeting in Kuantan today.
