Mukhriz proves racism can be hereditary

YOURSAY 'I am not the type who believes in a biological explanation for racism ... but now I have to reconsider my presupposition...'

MB raps MCA, Gerakan for being 'more racist' than DAP

your say, YoursayGood Men: Kedah MB Mukhriz Mahathir's statement would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

With fellow Umno leaders Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Mohd Ali Rustam and the rest spewing racist venom at every turn, this son of former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad doesn't see the irony of his accusations of racism against BN component parties.

Boonpou: I am not the type who believes in a biological explanation for racism but rather one that look at the social explanation for such hatred and bigotry.

But now I have to reconsider my presupposition in lieu of this son of one of the most, if not the most, racist leaders we as Malaysians have had to deal with.

From what this son of Mahathir is saying, I am beginning to be convinced he must have inherited his extreme form of racism both biologically as well as socially - growing up in a house whereby daddy has been preaching the naturalness of racism all along.

No wonder he is so racially screwed up. It's a real tragedy for him. His sister Marina must have realised that but has spoken nothing of it in respect for daddy. Theirs is a house but not a home. A home does not cultivate such hatred.

Perhaps Mahathir read Carl Schmitt, a former Nazi intellectual. The formula for Mahathir's political stardom has been all along to promote hatred and to cultivate fear. He is the precursor to former US president George W Bush.

Well Thats Fantastic: What a ridiculous statement from Mukhriz, that the Chinese rejected BN. Truth is, all races have rejected BN. If not for the Election Commission's corrupt gerrymandering BN would now be the federal opposition.

Over 60 percent of Malaysia is Malay, how is it that the smallest portion of voters are your focus when it is obvious there are a rising number of Malays who have rejected BN?

Your deception will only deceive those who are blinded by your apparent position of power and bloodline.

Onyourtoes: Please get your perspective right, Mukhriz, all BN component parties are not race or religion centric - they are 'self-interest' and 'get-rich' centric.

We know you Mukhriz; you said all these things against MCA and Gerakan because of the impending Umno party election.

We shall see whether your strategy based on the old paradigm of hate, race and jingoism will continue to work. With Malays still being shackled by leaders like your father and the rest of Umno, it may just work, perhaps for another few years.

I have a hypothesis - the more insecure the vice-president candidates about their chances of success at the party elections, the more racist a stance they will adopt.

Right now, it would appear to me that among the Umno veep candidates, Ali Rustam, Zahid and you Mukhriz are clinging by your teeth. The shortie (Mohd Isa Abdul Samad) probably has no chance at all.

Hishammuddin Hussein and Shafie Apdal seem quite safe for now and hence they are not unleashing racist slurs as venomous as the three of you.

JustAMalaysian: I think I understand the psychology or rationale of Mukhriz's statement. He is vying for one of the Umno VP slots and he must be seen to be an ultra Malay; and even if he is seen as a racist and an anti-Chinese, so be it.

So long as he succeeds in the coming Umno elections, he simply does not mind being criticised by DAP, MCA or Gerakan. As they say, the end justifies the means.

No wonder he lost badly to Khairy Jamaluddin in the Umno Youth elections not so long ago. Khairy has brains, does Mukhriz?

Middle Path: This is all in self-boosting mode to gain votes among their own. Most of them, if not everyone in that group, conveniently use other races as punching bags. They have low mentality and no class and that is their standard.

Anak JB: Mukhriz will play the race card to the hilt. The BN coalition is already a thing of the past especially with the race and hegemonic politics embraced by Umno.

I'm not too sure why MIC, MCA and Gerakan are still in the coalition, when their relevance has already become non-existent. If they have any sense of pride, they should leave BN.

Fair Play: MCA and Gerakan, if your leaders have any self-respect to the people you represent, you should leave the BN coalition immediately. Let's see how this young cub Mukhriz who isn't weaned yet could do without his daddy.

Tholu: Mukhriz, what BN formula are you talking about? In the BN formula, Umno has always been the despotic numerator while the rest of the component parties were merely servile denominators to Umno.

It is the Malays rejection of BN that caused the ruling coalition's dismal performance. The Malays, along with the other races, rejected BN for its corruption scandals, abuse of power and neglect of the people's social and economic woes.

With all the post-mortem and analysis of the election results pointing to urban Malay tsunami, it would only be a racist of the first degree who would say that it was the Chinese who rejected the despotic Umno-led BN.

JBond MCA, MIC and other BN parties have no use any longer to the corrupt Umno. So Mahathir's son is basically showing them his middle finger figuratively. Any party with self-respect would just throw in the towel.

But then these Umno running dogs parties are merely parasites and parasites have no concept of self-respect.

Longjaafar: Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has dared MCA and Gerakan to boycott the Sungai Limau by-elections. But both these masochistic groups will not.

They will be right there, in the thick of things (with thick faces too) campaigning for their masters.

Sirach: If any proof was needed that the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, this is it. A true blue chip of the old block.

In an earlier comment, I had speculated that a win for Mukhriz in the Umno vice-president race would be good for Pakatan Rakyat. Now I'm surer than I was before.
