MCA and Gerakan, heed Michael Jackson's 'Beat It'
YOURSAY 'This is what the Chinese don't want, two clowns making a fool of themselves, and yet want to claim to represent the Chinese.'
Chang hits back: Listen to Michael Jackson, Chua
ZhangFei: Please Gerakan, don't drag our idol Michael Jackson into your pussy politicking. Both of you, Gerakan acting president Chang Ko Youn and MCA chief Chua Soi Lek, are not on par with greatest pop king. You two are the lowest human beings, not even fit to be clowns. What a disgrace.
MatrixLYN: I think Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' is more apt for Chua. He performs crimes against the Chinese community, Malaysians, MCA and even his own wife, and yet still sits there like nothing's happened.
Smallbigblob: Chang Ko Youn, there is a better song for Chua - 'Beat It'. Just beat it, Chua. 'Man In The Mirror' is more appropriate for Chang.
Newday: The lyrics to 'Man In The Mirror' aptly apply to Chua as well as his colleagues Liow Tiong Lai and other MCA as well as many Gerakan leaders. Gerakan, if you do not want to be in the same political category as MCA, leave BN and join up with Pakatan or become a third force.
Your chance of regaining your past strength especially in Penang would be better. Also you will be able to keep Lim Guan Eng in check in Penang if you are not in BN as you will have more credibility.
888: Both MCA and Gerakan are politically dead. Just as well as both were rejected by voters in GE13. There are none, both in MCA and Gerakan, who can bring the parties back to life.
Hcleong: Every political party has its failures and successes. It is rude and stupid to run down your own partners. I am ashamed Chua, the outgoing MCA leader, has lashed out at Gerakan and yet stubbornly refused to apologise.
Even if both parties are rejected by the electorate, what right has Chua to run down Gerakan? This is his personal idiotic comment, not that of MCA as a whole. Liow, come out, make a press statement, to publicly apologise to Gerakan on behalf of MCA.
MinahBulat: Who was it that once said that this feud between these two losers is like two bald men fighting over a comb? You see the Chinese population in Malaysia, which I suppose is the hair, does not give two hoots about these two idiots. Both appear to be born losers.
The Mask: I am convinced that Chua is following in Big Brother's (Umno) footsteps. If Umno can accept all manner of tainted people to be their party leaders (and eventually become
Senior: This is what the Chinese don't want, two clowns making a fool of themselves, and yet want to claim to represent the Chinese.
Anonymous #59082512: There's no need for 'Man In The Mirror', as someone has just told me Chua is already the 'Man In The Video'.
Anonymous888: Chua 's new album should be called 'History'.
Fourtan: These are clowns jumping around, while 'Rome' burns.
2zzzxxx: Chua, Chang, don't look in the mirror, as the reflection will be supremely hideous.
Chua to Gerakan: Sorry, but I'm right
Senior: This is the pot calling the kettle black - both MCA and Gerakan are footnotes in the history of the country for the Chinese. They are nothing but rubber stamps for Umno Baru
NextView: Of course Chua is right. Everyone in Penang knows that the Gerakan clowns are a bunch of eunuchs after having been castrated under that shameless ostrich of a president.
2lan: Both parties have become irrelevant as both of you are seen as tools of Umno. Stop pretending to be a political party, and concentrate on your business assets, which is the core of your existence.
Moon: The only reason these guys are still fighting is because there's money on the table for them if they hold high posts in any BN component party.
They don't care any more about public support and how foolish they look. They just want to hold on to the meaningless positions and continue reaping the money to sustain their lavish lives.
Cala Bumiputeri : If every MCA member were given a vote to select his or her president, you would not see Chua contesting for presidency. The structure of the rules is such that those who control some 2,000 central delegates get to decide. Who else is able but Chua, for he is effectively controlling the media channels The Star, 988 radio, etc. and therefore the resources to stay in power?
Cala: MCA's leadership is defunct. By right an effective set of leaders would interact with followers in order to produce a more promising future in education, employment, healthcare and wellbeing generally.
Second, leaders may also promote an environment that improves members' lives economically and politically. Third, independent of the leaders, followers may go on with their lives as Scottish philosopher and economist Adam Smith once claimed, to take advantage of the situations and prosper.
If Chua of MCA has no role in any of the three processes, then one may argue that the leadership of MCA is defunct.
Boonpou: MCA has, even at its inception, been a party that has not only sold out the Chinese communities in Malaysia but one that fortified a racial communal politics in Malaya, and then Malaysia.
It's first president Tan Siew Sin agreed to a delicate racial communal politics that would seal the fate of the minorities (together with MIC) to kowtow towards supposedly superior Umno Malay elites.
MCA has played that role since. However, MCA as a political party that based itself, supposedly, on claims of championing the Chinese in Malaysia, has seen its significance drop through the decades.
In fact, it no longer has any legitimacy since 2008. And this comes to my point. Why are we, meaning non‑Malays, even bothering with the development and infighting within MCA? They have become dinosaurs. They watch the political development in recent years but have no role to play.
They are history. They clearly are so yesterday, failing to recognise the changing tides Malaysia has witnessed in recent years.
Fairplayer: Both MCA and Gerakan should just fold up and close shop. The Chinese can take care of themselves without your help.
Clever Voter: Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of a party called MCA. Gerakan is long gone, and years from now we will read how corruption and rotten leadership destroyed the public's trust and never recovered. It is a case of good riddance.
Relevancy: Birds of the same feather flock together. That is what these two birdie organisations are. Looks like if MCA is to sink, it might as well bring along others to sink with it.
Anonyxyz MCA and Gerakan are like two eunuchs trying their best to please the emperor, who gloats at them in disgust and looks at them as shameless sycophants and enjoys seeing them grasping at each other's throats and barking with no bite, knowing that they have given up their manhood
Pa·tri·ot·ic: Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the dumbest of them all?
