Jenice Lee Ying Ha, the former state assemblyperson for Teratai, Selangor, has lodged a police report against Cheras Member of Parliament Tan Kok Wai for allegedly defaming her in the local dailies.
She said Tan’s statement that her assistant, Lee Hsuan Ba, was involved in abuse of power over the security wall issue in Taman Seraya in Kuala Lumpur, was tantamount to defamation.
She said this was because the DAP party disciplinary chairperson had failed to prove his allegation.
Lee alleged that Tan had also issued defamatory statements which were reported in several newspapers on April 24 and 25, this year which accused her of being involved in misappropriating state allocations for Sungai Pelek.
“This is slander against me,” she told reporters after making the report at the Pandan Indah police station in Kuala Lumpur today.
