The well-known election slogan of Pakatan Rakyat. ‘Ini Kalilah', has been slammed as the biggest trap set to mislead the voters in the last general election.
Newly-elected Gerakan Wanita chief Tan Lian Hoe (right) said based on the feedback she got from the grassroots, many voters were regretting that they had voted for Pakatan.
"They told me that they paid the price for voting Pakatan but the coalition did not take over the government eventually," Tan told a press conference after she was returned unopposed as Gerakan Wanita chief.
Tan, who is now in her third term as wanita chief, chided Pakatan for using slogan to win voters’ hearts but in fact not serving the ground.
She had also reminded Malaysians to recognise the real scenario of the country, particularly its Malay-dominant population.
Hence, Tan stressed that BN was still the most suitable coalition to lead the country.
“But of course, what we want is policies for all,” she added.
On criticism against Gerakan for its irrelevance, Tan lamented that this was only dissatisfaction from certain quarters.
“Gerakan is still the preferred party. The people think that Gerekan leaders are hardworking and sincere,” she said.
