The body of a teenage girl, 15, believed to have been murdered by a suspect whom she had known via the Internet, was found at Jalan Kebun Nenas in Klang last night.
The body was found inside a bag at about 9pm, believed to have been dumped by the suspect.
Selangor deputy police chief Abdul Rahim Jaafar said the body was found after police had interrogated the suspect, aged 23, at the Petaling Jaya police station at about 6.30pm yesterday.
After initial investigations, the suspect took police to the site where the body was dumped.
“There were slash marks and bleeding on the head and hands of the victim. The suspect is believed to have murdered the victim in his house at Kelana Jaya, about 12 hours earlier before dumping the body,” he told reporters at the scene in Klang yesterday.
The teenager was believed to have left her house at 11am on Monday and when she did not return home by 12 midnight, her mother lodged a police report at 1.30am.
The victim who sat for her Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examination recently, had befriended the suspect via the Internet.
The body was later sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.
