He said the remaining flood victims were at the evacuation at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Padang Serai, totalling 126 people, Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Tebuk Yan (51) and Dewan Taman Bintang (92).
Meanwhile, Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue station head Zainudin Mohd Nordin said 14 people from six families in Kampung Parit Simpang 4 and Kampung Parit Simpang 5 were evacuated to the relief centre at SK Alor Pongsu yesterday evening.
According to the National Security Council’s flood portal, the number of flood victims at the Dewan Orang Ramai Padang Serai Dalam had dropped to 14 people, involving four families, from 69 people previously.
It said the evacuation centre at SK Batu Hampar was also closed.
Besides heavy rain, the high-tide phenomenon and change in the monsoon have contributed to the floods in Perak.
