VOXPOP 'Mukhriz is just a sore loser because in spite of spending millions, he lost the seat on his turf, that too with his father's campaigning.'

Mukhriz blames 'outsiders' for defeat

voxpop, voxSS Dhaliwal: Kedah MB Mukhriz Mahathir, if a large number of voters were registered outside the constituency at the Islamic schools sure they must have been present under Azizan Abdul Razak's time, so why didn't you speak up then?

To put it bluntly, you are just a sore loser because inspite of spending millions bribing people, you lost the seat on your turf, that too with your father's campaigning. I hope that this is the forbearing of you and your father's political demise.

LogicalMalaysian; This is a 90 percent Malay majority area and still Umno-BN lost. Umno, Mukhriz, Mahathir, Najib Razak, Ibrahim Ali, Zulkifli Noordin, Malaysian Muslim Solidarity (Isma), Ali Rustam, etc, are very fond of blaming non-Malay BN candidates for losing in mixed areas. What have they got to say now?

Are they going to shout ‘Malay tsunami'? Are they going to stop the funds flowing to the Malays in the area? Are they going to give sermons chastising the Malays for being so "ungrateful"?

I can bet that Ibrahim Ali would not utter a word on the Malays throwing out the Umno candidate. The Isma president threatened that its members would campaign against Gerakan if it continued raise ‘sensitive' issues.

Instead of talking big, they should have proved their mettle in Sungai Limau. They can't even influence their own race but blame the whole world.

Hermit: Mukhriz composure is at his worst after swallowing the bitter pill of defeat. He does not look like the great son of Dr Mahathir Mohamad, and surely the message is that not every son of the prime minister would follow the father's footstep.

Golfer63: Mukhriz succeeded in reducing the PAS winning majority from about 2,700 to about 1,000. That's admirable.

Instead of overwhelmingly voting against BN, the bulk of the Chinese voters abstained. If he governs Kedah well and with an open heart, his fortunes may well rise again.

OH : Like father like son, blaming others for their failure. If he has any honour at all, he should resign after failing to win in the vice-president contest and failing to win this by election although tons of money was thrown in and that his vicious father was the chief campaigner.

JungleMonkey: Blame outsider? Prove it Mukhriz. Stop talking rubbish. Nothing beats your BN gerrymandering.

Dispute over Razali's victory in Muar Umno polls

Armageddon: Muar Umno has just awaken up from a deep slumber. Didn't they know that was exactly how Umno won the last GE? Don't be surprised, these 12 members who complained about electoral fraud will soon fall back to sleep after getting some "grease".

Joker: Registrar of Societies (ROS), no further action? It was so quick to jump on DAP's back based on mere allegations and hearsay.

But no doubt, Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein is going to do anything. He barely won his seat after a determined challenge from Mukhriz. And that was because of massive support from Johor, including the Muar division.

Maybe this group can get a better hearing if they complain to Mukhriz.

Mr KJ John: This confirms my worry and concern on "how endemic corruption of the past was suddenly wiped out" with the so-called new method of elections. The cracks are now appearing.

Mano: Does not the following statement sound so familiar - "the irregularities - which included unsealed ballot boxes, blackouts during vote counting, intimidation of voters and vote-buying".

What goes around comes around. These things happened so rampantly during the GE13 and all Umno goons kept their mouth shut because they were beneficiaries of the BN victory.

Toonarmy: Finally some Umno members are now experiencing what Pakatan Rakyat and its supporters endured at GE13 - being cheated out of the government of our choice. Let them fight one another to the death.

Ipohcrite: Sorry, but the public have no interest in knowing what goes on in Umno, since, as has oft been pointed out to the public, it's an internal party affair.

Pakatan does not dwell on the internal rot in Umno to benefit them. They have a clear-cut agenda for the rakyat and it's totally transparent for all to see.

If anyone chooses to support Umno, then be prepared to support a self-serving party that caters primarily to its leaders. Everyone has a choice, remember? Now you know how the Umno-led BN won GE13.

Well Thats Fantastic: Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drowning frog's back. "I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.
