The health condition of Pahang Menteri Besar Adnan Yaakob, who was admitted to the Intensive care Unit (ICU) of the Prince Court Hospital last Nov 4, is reported improving.

In a brief statement sent to Bernama through the short messaging service (SMS), Adnan said he was admitted to the hospital for suspected infection, either by Leptospirosis or Melioidosis virus.

“I had the attack while on the way to the Shah Alam Stadium last Nov 3... Praise to God, I am out of ICU and was transferred to the ordinary ward  on Nov 8.

“The hospital wanted to discharge me last Nov 10, but I choose to remain in the hospital to rest until the weekend and will be back to work next week,” he said.

The Pelangai state assemblyperson said Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had been informed of his condition.
