PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan has advised incoming leaders of its youth wing to sharpen their minds so that they can give more reasonable criticism, instead of merely uttering valueless political rhetoric.

In his last major speech as Youth chief, Nasrudin said it is time PAS youth's rhetoric suited modern times.

"It's time that the Youth political rhetoric adds value with proper context, to match the demands of our mission to the dynamic political reality.

"We do not want another scenario in which the rhetoric of the same material is repeated over and over again without a lot of added value," he said at the MBPJ Civic Hall in Petaling Jaya today.

NONE PAS Youth was previously criticised by various parties for being drowned in its narrow fight over community issues.

Meanwhile, Nasrudin ( left ) also commented on the alleged inconsistences in voting patterns seen in the 13th general election in May.

Looking back, the Temerloh MP said that it had aimed to win up to 60 percent of the youth votes.

"If before, our political structure was established on race-based politics, this time it will be built on other factors such as urbanisation, economic class, age and access to information," he said.

PAS Youth delegates will elect a new leader to replace Nasrudin on Friday, as he will move on to compete for a post in the central committee.

Three candidates are battling for the role of PAS Youth chief. They are former head of Johor PAS Youth Suhaizan Kayat, lawyer and activist Zulhazmi Shariff and Federal Territory PAS Youth chief Kamaruzaman Mohamad.
