voxpop, vox Bamboo: From what the BN government does so far, it's protecting the interests of a minority rich on top at the expense of majority poor at the bottom.

It defies logic to cut the subsidies for essentials like food and petrol but zero action on IPP (independent power producers). IPPs are already super rich, a little dent on their profits will not kill them.

I really wonder if our PM is really in charge? Or is there some unseen hands manoeuvring behind the scenes to protect their interests?

Swipenter: It is the high level of mismanagement of the country finances that makes our cost of living quite unbearable these days relative to our earning power.

And if we were to trace this back, it all leads back to the Mahathir's administration when the rich are being subsidised by the government to become even richer. Crony capitalism, white elephants, mega projects and rent-seeking activities is the forte of Dr Mahathir Mohamad and it continues unabated since then.

The gravy train has even picked up speed, instead of slowing down. Corruption also adds quite a bit to our cost of living. Najib even takes it two levels higher through huge borrowings and spending it recklessly for unproductive activities like BRIM, vote buying, vested interests, etc, to hollow our national coffer faster.

The only way to replenish the fast depleting national coffer is to raise taxes, remove subsidies and make the rakyat pay more for goods and services.

I believe the government should come clean on this and tell the rakyat - how much has been deducted thus far.

Sugar price up, petrol price up (twice), KL rates up, GST coming up, and now this. And you expect us to wave 'I Love PM' posters in front of you each time an election comes? Tell the people in the villages, especially the Malays, how they are being exploited. Tell the people in Sabah and Sarawak, educate them, get more volunteers to help. Pakatan still has a chance to win in GE14 but it must start working now, relentlessly.

If the Indians don't wake up, they will always be treated by the Najib government as nothing more than a vote bank.

SpongeBob ; The presence of temples in every corner indicates the presence of previous plantations and settlements of the Indian community. This reflects their contribution to the development of Malaysia.

It also shows that these temples existed long before the modernisation of Malaysia. Definitely, there will be issues of encroachment of land. Why is this issue not resolved by the Indian political parties till today? It very disheartening that this issue keeps on coming up and affecting Malaysia's racial unity.

Sheds which were built and considered as temples are suppose to be the "guardian angels" for Indian estate workers in the plantations or remote Indian settlements in those days where they go out to work at very early in the morning.

Before, they go to work, they pray and seek protection from sheds or temples as their places of work were dark and dangerous. Have the Malaysians forgotten this?

Robert Lim : The current position of Hindraf as a bipartisan party in the government is welcomed to provide constructive suggestion to the government to remedy past mistakes.

The demolition of the temples is not a new issue and had been existing for the last 57 years under the nose of the BN leaders and well as the Pakatan Rakyat leaders without anything being resolved.

Hindraf within six months has been ruffling the feathers in a positive manner and it is hoped that the government heed their call on a positive manner for the benefit of the community.

Doc: Let's face it, Umno can go around demolishing temple left right and centre, drawing anger from the Indian community but in the last three months before the next election, PM along with Umno can produce a barrage of empty promises to that community along with a few walkabouts with PM in Klang and Brickfields while shouting "give me your nambikei", is enough to get the Indians flocking in a frenzy to vote BN.
