Puteri Umno has set up three new bureaus to strengthen its roles in line with the rapid development of information technology and to get closer to the people.

NONE Its chief-designate, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin ( right ), said the new bureaus were known as Sahabat Puteri Bureau; Social and Digital Media Bureau; and IT and Biotechnology Bureau.

“Puteri has also made new appointments of leaders to lead the three bureaus, as well leaders for the other 20 existing bureaus. Seventy percent of them are new faces,” she told a press conference after chairing Puteri Umno executive council’s special meeting at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

At the meeting, Mas Ermieyati also launched Puteri Umno’s welfare fund, ‘Tabung Prihatin Puteri’.

“Since its establishment eight days ago, we have raised fund of RM130,000, mostly from Puteri Umno members nationwide.

“Of the total, RM50,000 will be donated to Haiyan typhoon victims in the Philippines and flood victims in the country,” she added.
