Wanita MCA vice-chief Heng Saie Kie today announced her candidacy for the post of Wanita chief at the party elections on Dec 21.  

She said the matter was discussed with 11 of the wing’s state division chiefs who have given her their full support.   

“These 11 Wanita chiefs have formed a team to support me as well.  And they will also be contesting for various positions,” she told a press conference at Wisma MCA in Kuala Lumpur, adding that only Sabah and Pahang have yet to announce their candidates.

The MCA election is scheduled for Dec 21 with nominations on Dec 16, while the elections for the Youth and Wanita wings are on Dec 19 and 20 respectively.
