As at 3pm today, the number of flood victims in Pahang dropped to 29,270 from the 38,323 victims recorded in the morning.

A state operations room spokesperson in Kuantan said the 29,270 victims from 7,207 families are staying at 92 relief centres in seven districts.
“Kuantan district has the highest number with 21,222 victims from 5,249 families in 48 relief centres,” he told Bernama in Kuantan today.
In Rompin, 4,180 victims are staying at 14 relief centres, Pekan has 3,124 victims in 16 relief centres while Maran has 637 victims in six relief centres.
Jerantut has 79 victims in one relief centre, Lipis has 21 victims in two relief centres and Temerloh has seven victims in one relief centre.
Six main roads closed to all vehicles are Km28 Jalan Sungai Lembing-Kuantan, Km51 Jalan Kuantan-Kemaman, Batu 3 Jalan Kuantan-Gambang, Km72 Jalan Kuantan-Segamat, Km62 Jalan Kuantan-Rompin and Jalan Jerantut-Kuala Lipis.
Meanwhile, the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Office assured that there is adequate supply of basic necessities in the flooded areas.
State director Mohd A Aruwan Ab Aziz said the floods did not affect the supply of basic necessities to residents.
“We have not received reports of supply shortage and are conducting daily monitoring with suppliers, wholesalers and retailers,” he told Bernama today.
Checks on price controlled items also found there were sold at the fixed prices.
Food distributed by the Welfare Services Department was also adequate for the flood victims.
