Over 24,000 eggs used in food preparation for assembly

Putrade Property Management Sdn.Bhd (Putrade) chief executive officer Maxson Abdullah Jaafar said meals were served five times daily to the guests, comprising delegates, dignitaries, Putrade staff, security personnel and media practitioners.
He said also used in the food preparation so far included 5,720kg of rice, beef (5,400kg), chicken (6,050kg), fish (4,950kg), vegetables (3,410kg) and flour (880kg).
“PWTC also gets the cooperation of the Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (Fama) to provide local fruits for the guests,” he told Bernama in Kuala Lumpur today.
Maxson said 1,200 temporary staff had been employed to help with the food preparation for the assembly.
“There are also 600 security personnel on duty during the assembly, comprising the Royal Malaysia Police, the Civil Defence Department, the People’s Volunteer Corps and also PWTC staff,” he added.
He said preparations for the assembly began since September and they including refurbishing of the carpets and the air conditioning, as well as installing the acoustic wall, costing RM7 million.
