Former Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) chief, Lt-Gen (rtd) Mohamed Ngah Said, who passed away yesterday, was laid to rest at the Titiwangsa Muslim cemetery in Kuala Lumpur today.

He was buried at 10.30am after the funeral prayers at Ibnu Sina Mosque, Jalan Ayer Keroh.

The funeral was held with full military honours for the late general involving 100 officers and men.

Also present was RMAF deputy chief, Lt-Gen Roslan Saad.

Mohamed Ngah died at KPJ Tawakal Hospital in Kuala Lumpur at 6pm yesterday from bacteria infecton after being admitted to the hospital last Thursday. He was 75.

He leaves a wife, Kamariah Abdul Rahman, 72, six children aged 20 to 49 and 10 grandchildren.

Mohamed Ngah was RMAF chief from Aug 29, 1983 until March 18, 1990.

His fourth child, Iskandar Zulkarnain, 40, said his late father was firm at work, yet friendly with his subordinates regardless of their rank.
