Several areas in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur are to face disruption in water supply between 9am and 11pm on Thursday, according to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).

The company said in a statement the disruption was due to work to upgrade the water supply system with the installation of a strainer at the Pudu Hulu Baru Balancing Pond.

The areas to be affected are Taman Bukit Permai; Taman Mastika; Kampung Cheras Baru (Bukit A,B,C); Taman Lembah Maju; Taman Pandan Mewah; Taman Putra; Taman Mawar; Taman Muda; Taman Teratai; Taman Saga; Taman Melur; Taman Mega Jaya and Taman Seraya.

“A total of 17,388 accounts are involved,” it said.

Syabas advised consumers to store enough water and use water sparingly during the period of disruption.
