The flood situation in Pahang has improved vastly with the number of evacuees at relief centres dropping further to 2,657 people as at 4pm compared to 2,806 people at 8am this morning.

A Pahang police contingent flood operations room spokesperson said the evacuees remained at 27 evacuation centres involving 28 areas in three districts.  

Pekan still has the most evacuees at 1,879 people from 470 families who are sheltered at 21 evacuation centres compared to 2,028 victims from 497 families also at 21 centres in the morning.  

In Kuantan, there are still 640 people from 164 families at three relief centres while in Maran the number of evacuaees remained at 138 people from 27 families in three centres.
