A total of 152 children and teenagers and 40 advertising filming crew were rescued from the summit of Bukit Broga, Semenyih at 7.25pm tonight.

They were rescued by Fire and Rescue Department officers after being trapped on top of the hill for several hours due to heavy rainfall.

Asst Supt Khairul Anuar Yaacob of the Semenyih Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call at 3.15pm and 11 members rushed to the scene.

“It is understood that they went up the hill at 5am to shoot a beverage advertisement but failed to climb down following heavy rain this afternoon.”

Khairul Anuar said all the victims were brought down from the hill in stages, starting with the children and teenagers.
