DAP: Use gambling tax for non-Malay purposes

We have clear segregation between Islamic banking and normal banking, halal and non-halal food, halal and non-halal businesses.
It is high time to segregate non-halal tax from halal tax. The non-halal taxes should be used for the maintenance and building of vernacular schools, temples and churches and for the welfare of non-Muslims.
If it is impractical to segregate these taxes, I suggest the government to ban all the gaming businesses so that no non-halal taxes will be used by Muslims.
Onyourtoes: I know this suggestion is probably to spite those “holier than thou” people, but we have to be a little more careful in what we are suggesting.
How many ways do you want to dissect this country further? Are you saying non-Malays should depend on gambling and other sinful activities to finance social, educational and welfare services?
Why can’t non-Malays get their fair share of revenue from the national coffers (which they also contribute to) just like anyone else?
It is an oxymoron for me to promote immoral and harmful activities to finance social, education and welfare services.
I think the greatest education we can provide is to make our people aware of the harmful effects of social ills that have affected so many people.
This suggestion, rightly or wrongly, justifies people to drink. I think this is a half-baked, ridiculous and expedient suggestion.

In principle, gambling should never be encouraged because it generally drains economic resources from the poorer groups to benefit the billionaire owners of the gambling syndicates.
Revenue from gambling should be used judiciously to benefit all in worthwhile causes and should never have a racial or religious slant.
ACR: Taxes from conventional banking, gambling/betting, sales taxes from alcohol, non-halal meat produce and restaurants, taxes on income arising from dealings with non-Muslim places of worship (taxes on income from coconut supplies to Hindu temples for instance) should be earmarked for the social welfare of non-Muslims.
That said, I believe a fatwa already is in existence that says government revenue (irrespective of source) is halal.

It would better for Anthony to ask his ‘tokong’, Penang Chief Minster Lim Guan Eng, to return the newly purchased Mercedes S300L and get a Camry. RM150,000 in ‘good’ money could be saved and used for the purpose.

Let us not pollute the money used by Umno Muslims. Also print separate currencies to be used by Muslims and the infidels so that money from pork sellers will be touched by Perkasa and Umno members.
