Pos Malaysia Berhad said today it will continue using the existing address system that the public is accustomed to and will strive to improve its delivery service.
The national courier also assured the people that the delivery of all postal articles will be maintained under the existing mailing address and postcode.
“For those who have taken the initiative to change their address as proposed, such as with the National Registration Department, please rest assured that postal articles will continue to be delivered as Pos Malaysia’s system will cater for that as well,” it said in a statement.
Since October last year, Pos Malaysia had conducted a survey in the form of distributing address postcards to gauge the public’s feedback on the proposed new address format in selected areas of Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Seremban.
The outcome of the survey, which was done in light of rapid residential and business development in these areas, suggests that the majority appears not to be keen on the proposed change.
Pos Malaysia also thanked its customers and public for participating in the survey and providing the essential feedback as well as for their continued support, trust and confidence in the company.
