Ah Jib's ang pow a cutting reminder of BN bribery
YOURSAY ‘Yes, he has tried every trick to win back the Chinese vote.’
Fancy an Ah Jib Gor ang pow for CNY?
Kingfisher: Whatever the public relations effort on behalf of the PM, the opinion that he is failing or for the matter has failed in the economic management of the country has been increasingly articulated by many in the general public.
One can well imagine a man well-known to be wanting to be well-liked and popular must be feeling miserable at the way some castigate him as a failure in responsible and forthright leadership.
One is left wandering if there will be an internal revolt from the younger, more progressive and responsible Umno rank-and-file and leaders to replace him before more harm is rendered on its present fragile reputation for financial prudence in governance.
Whatsup: Enough is enough, 2014 is already going to be a bleak year for us. Let us enjoy our Chinese New Year without having to be constantly reminded of your double-talk, blaming others and constant lying. Najib, have you no shame at all?
Vijay47: I am fully in support of PM Najib Razak distributing these ang pow packets to everybody and his brother.
After all, they are an intrinsic part of Chinese culture. But in view of the delicate sensitive times we live in, I hope somebody will advise me whether it would be seditious if I flushed the packets down the toilet.
But rest assured that I will not do it in Putrajaya.
Freethinker: I'll return the ang pow to whoever give it to me and politely say "no thanks".
Jiminy Qrikert: Receiving an Ah Jib ang pow is akin to receiving his BR1M (Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia). Since BR1M is essentially a bribe to get support from the gullible rakyat, those who receive the Ah Jib ang pow are simply just as gullible.
Apart from the MCA and Gerakan members, who in their right senses will use these Ah Jib ang pow packets?
So it follows that those who do use the Ah Jib ang pow are Chinese running dogs trying to buy support for this imbecile PM.
And those who receive it are simply too stupid to realise that the few ringgit inside are not worth the priceless opportunity to unleash yet another 'Chinese tsunami'.
Myop101: The government should save money instead of do silly things like this. The PM will get more support if he effectively address the issues raised in the Auditor-General’s Report.
Ian2003: Yes, he had tried every trick to win back the Chinese vote. And they all failed. Indeed, how can you win with tricks when everyone can see through them?
Najib, try not using tricks but implement real and just policies along with stringent enforcement. The Chinese will definitely flock back to you.
Green Penang: Dear Mr PM, take concrete steps to improve the inter-religious and inter-ethnic relationships and you will find the reception for your ang pows a lot more positive than the comments in Malaysiakini have shown so far.
Anonymous_40a7: Surprise inside the ang pows - instead of money, a white piece of paper with the wording "Apa Lagi Cina Mahu?"
Selangor speaker gets death threat after 'fake' quote
Sleepy: Umno-BN is showing desperation. We have seen the level of desperation shifting from the initial ‘Chinese tsunami’ “leave the country if not happy” phase, bringing up racial and religious matters in schools/social media/elsewhere, to the current Jais (Selangor Islamic Religious Department) raid.
The purpose is simply to plant seeds of disunity among races and religions. It is not working just yet but nevertheless we (all races and religions) must stay united.
Ferdtan: This is the new line of work for the Umno supporters - ‘hate-blogging’. With the police looking elsewhere (conveniently?) more hate-messages would posted.
Thus not only some naive people may believe the lie, they also distract the government's problems in the price hikes. As usual, such dirty tactics always pit the Muslim Malays against the minority group or race.
It is so easy to know who are the likely perpetrators. Who will benefit more from these despicable acts?
Be United: How can we live in peace if wild allegations are spread? Anyway the truth has to be established and the guilty party should be punished in accordance to the law.
Anonymous_5fb: Now you know why gangster groups like Tiga Line, NGOs like Perkasa and Perkida, and Islamic NGOs exist.
They are ready to create issues of sensitivities of Muslim, Malay and so on once prompted by you-know-who.
Previously, Umno Youth is the main one which do such kind of things but since Khairy Jamaluddin helmed it, the 'old man' took over to carry out the dirty jobs. That's when Perkasa came into prominent.
CQ Muar: In view of the gravity and risk such allegations can lead to, we appeal to all parties concerned, regardless of political affiliation, to stop further misunderstandings and hatred for the love of this country.
