IGP: No assembly is ever peaceful
Quigonbond: Hey, police chief Khalid Abu Bakar, peaceful assembly is called civil disobedience. Why follow the law when it is bad law? If the law requires someone to eat poisoned apple, should one comply?
It is Khalid’s attitude that there is no such thing as peaceful assembly that gives the police on the ground the carte blanche to mess things up. All police action must be proportionate and reasonable.
Not Convinced: Khalid, did anything untoward happened 100,000 Malaysians turned up for the People's Uprising Rally last year?
No? That was because you and the rest of your gang were not there.
Paul Warren: Weren't the Bersih rallies peaceful too? The only ones who threatened the peace that time were the police and they were the ones who were violent.
Tell The Truth: The only reason it is not peaceful is when the police start to beat up peaceful citizens in the protests.
Look at those nations that allow peaceful demonstrations. No problem. It’s people like you who create problems!

We at the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) cannot always prevent "unpeaceful" assemblies. But we can prevent peaceful assemblies from ever happening. We can give that assurance.
Well Thats Fantastic: I almost wish the people would topple this government so we could get a real IGP (inspector-general of police). We do need the government to change the proper way through free and fair elections.
I went to a big street protest in Australia once and the police were wonderful and friendly. They closed one lane of the road and kept traffic flowing, they made sure the protest ran smoothly.
Everyone got to be heard and the government got the message.
Negarawan: So far, any disturbances in rallies have been linked to PDRM's brutal actions, for example, the shooting tear gas directly at the protesters, bashing up of innocent participants and journalists, and ramming of police vehicle into the crowd.
Also no thanks to Umno-linked instigators and thugs igniting trouble, and Utusan Malaysia's gutter journalism.
Well, Mr IGP, you may choose to turn a blind eye on these facts, but the rakyat are not blind.
JTC: I guess what this means is that demonstrations organised by Umno are not peaceful either. That being the case, why was there so little police action against them when they organised such demonstrations?

Look at all the opposition ceramahs - they are often disrupted by Umno-sponsored thugs.
It has been our misfortune not to have a professional IGP with high integrity, and it always gets worse - like this Khalid guy. Will the next IGP be worse than him? You bet.
Doc: What about protests conducted by Malay supremacist groups Perkasa, Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) or Umno?
I'm sure they are a peaceful bunch when it comes to protesting. They may look and act like rabid wolves but they are peaceful right, Khalid.

Korkor: Khalid, if no assembly is ever peaceful, then all schools must ban assemblies. Children must not be allowed to play in the parks because someone may get hurt from the flying freebies or balls that are being kicked around.
Come on, Khalid, we are not ‘budak kecil’ (small kids) when we used to fear the word "mata mata". You have lost your integrity when you serve only the BN, and not the rakyat.
LKT: Do we need anymore proof that this IGP is unfit to helm such a key position in the police force. He is openly displaying his loyalty towards Umno when his loyalty is suppose to be to the constitution of Malaysia.
His failure to be an impartial and independent enforcer of the laws of the land is most treacherous. What a disgraceful betrayal of the uniform he is wearing as well as his oath of office.
