YOURSAY ‘The only thing that stays is the great big debt we all have to pay.’

Now Kong Choy walks free from PKFZ scandal

Swipenter : The Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) matter, like they say, is "a crime without a guilty party". No one is ever going to be found guilty or responsible for this huge scandal cum corruption case.

The only ones found to be indirectly responsible were those lower rank officers preparing the working and feasibility papers for the ministers to 'read' and sign for approval from the cabinet, to go ahead with the plans and financing for the project.

The Patriot: Then MCA president Ong Tee Keat paid the price for the exposing the PKFZ scandal. His political career was literally cut short.

The MP from Bintulu, Tiong King Siong was recently promoted to envoy for East Asia. He was the CEO of Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, a company linked to PKFZ. His close associate, Wee Ka Siong, has now become the MCA deputy president.

Single Malt: Congratulations to former transport minister and ex-MCA deputy president Chan Kong Choy. You have done well in life. A good candidate to be appointed as advisor to MACC.

Fourtan: In Bolehland, if you want to cheat, don't go small time. Do it big time. You'll always walk free.

Clearwater: Not at all surprised. No one in the cabinet is guilty of negligence or of squandering public funds. Wait for the default of the multi-billion bonds raised for PKFZ, for the real fireworks.

ZhangFei: Everyone walks free, so who is responsible?

Continue-The-March: After Umno Baru won GE13, this is what happens. Before any general election, some big fishes will be netted for show. After the general election, everything is okay.

Life continues for Umno Baru to do whatever they like. Malaysia deserves better than this.

Truly Malaysian: Corruption is colour-blind. All Malaysians must fight so that our children will not be burdened with debts.

Gordon Gecko: Recently a ‘big fish’ was caught off the coast of Penang. The unlucky fish was sold, scaled and cooked to the delight of the rakyat.

Here off the coast of Port Klang, a similar ‘big fish’ was caught but was later set free into the ocean because the fishermen withdrew the nets and decided to go home.

Ketuanan Rakyat: This Umnoputeras' Bankrupt Nation (BN) has unlimited possibilities on how to siphon off taxpayers’ money under the pretext of 1Malaysia.

There are in fact, two systems - one especially favourable for Umnoputeras and their cronies, while the other is not so favourable, and meant for the rest of Malaysians. ABU (Anything but Umno).

Fairnsquare: We cannot blame the courts for this. When the then PM has testified that the cabinet was not cheated by the MCA top guns, how can the courts press charges and expect to get a guilty verdict?

This is what happens when we have a government so powerful that it even protects 'Allah'.

Toonarmy: Why should Malaysians be surprised by this latest acquittal? Isn't this something already completely, totally and utterly expected?

So is the attorney-general coming out to explain that his office undertook an in-depth study into the missing funds and found that the banknotes grew legs, bolted to Cyprus and can no longer be recovered?

CHKS: No one killed Altantuya , she died herself. No one cheated in PKFZ, the money just disappeared. No one killed Teoh Beng Hock , he jumped off the building himself. This is Malaysia.

Anonymous #039163649: It is after all only our RM13 billion or so, not much, can easily get back through goods and services tax (GST) or by raising prices.

No need to waste time in investigating because in Umno land, you can lose RM13 billion and nobody will be responsible. Maybe the makhluk halus or a toyol took it.

Fair&Just: Wah, very powerful Umno-BN government. Former ministers all free of PKFZ charges. Perhaps this proverbial can of worms shall forever remain sealed.

Remember the troubled steel project Perwaja, where its former managing director Eric Chia was also freed from CBT charges?

Siang Malam: Arrest and charged before the general elections - then withdraw the charges after GE. It is all a sandiwara (act). Why do Malaysians continued to be fooled?

Shrek: No, I am not surprised at all. In fact, he may be appointed to head any government-linked companies (GLCs). Soon to come.

Multi Racial: Actually, Malaysians expected this to happen. Everything is just sandiwara. BN will have to pay dearly for helping those crooks. They have to get serious and walk the talk. We are not seeing that happen.

Onyourtoes: Was Tan Hock Chuan the lawyer that represented the government in the Teoh Beng Hock inquest? Anyway what else is new? There’s cheating without cheater, theft without a thief, and murder without a murderer. Endless possibilities.

Sometimes I wonder why we ever want to promote Visit Malaysia Year or organise trade and investment missions abroad. Don’t we not have enough publicity already?

Mob1900: Soon the crime will vanish and it will be accepted that no cheating had ever occurred at PKFZ. The only thing that stays is the great big debt we all have to pay.
