Former national and Negri Sembilan hockey goalkeeper in the early 1980s, Mohd Zahar Epi, died at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban, early yesterday morning.

Mohd Zahar, 52, left behind wife Rohana Hashim, 54, and three children, a son and two daughters, aged 25 to 30.
According to Rohana, her husband - who was from Tampin - died at 2am due to heart, kidney and lung complications.
"My husband was admitted to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital on Saturday for breathing difficulties. He had a stroke in 2006," she told Bernama in Seremban, yesterday.
She said he had worked with the State Development Corporation, Negri Sembilan and TH Properties Sdn Bhd before retiring due to poor health in 2006.
His body was taken to his house in Taman Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban, and then to the Taman Tuanku Jaafar Mosque for prayers, before being buried at the Senawang Muslim Cemetery, last evening.
