New Year rally T-shirt maker quizzed by cops
The man who printed and sold the T-shirts worn by protesters at the new year's eve anti-price hike Turun rally was arrested when he went to the Serdang police headquarters to give a statement today.
The man who printed and sold the T-shirts worn by protesters at the new year's eve anti-price hike Turun rally was arrested when he went to the Serdang police headquarters to give a statement today.
His friend Wong Kar Fai said Mohd Zul Raidy Ahmad Tarmizi ( right ) was arrested under Section 124(D) of the Penal Code.
This section deals with printing and sales of documents and publications detrimental to parliamentary democracy, and carries a maximum penalty of 15 years imprisonment upon conviction.
Mohd Zul Raidy arrived at the police headquarters at about 7pm today and was arrested about 30 minutes later.
"Police immediately arrested him," Wong said.
Zul Raidy was released at about 9.30pm.
