Deputy Communication and Multimedia Minister Jailani Johari has once again urged Internet users to be smart and more mature.

"I want Internet users to be smart because we want to proclaim a new generation who are more mature and smart in their thinking and who are capable of assisting the government in any matter.

"We do not want Internet users to spread content that are not beneficial or harmful because it does not profit any party, we know the benefits of the Internet whether in terms of information or knowledge, but users should be more mature and not use the Internet for no worthwhile purposes," he told reporters during his visit to Pasar Besar Kuala Berang in Hulu Terengganu today.

"My advice, use the Internet wisely making it a platform for communication and the government will continue its efforts to ensure we can bring awareness to people so that they become more Internet savvy," he said.

During his visit, Jailani spent nearly two hours to review the prices offered by about 50 traders at the market. He found the prices were in accordance with the prices set and some traders even offered lower prices.
