Perkasa veep: Sorry's no cure to racism

Anonymous#007: Perkasa vice-president Zulkifli Noordin has a point on how we should not tolerate racism.

Pity he forgot to mention the forced removal of Christian crosses from convent schools, and more recently, the teachers who forced non-Muslim students to recite Islamic prayers, desecration of the Bible and the erroneous claim of exclusive right to the word 'Allah'.

Zulkifli also seems to have memory loss on the subject of intolerance: an Indian altar in a private home forcibly wrecked by the city council, the wrecking of a thousand-year-old Hindu temple...

The list is so long that perhaps it is time to review if hate content (against other religions) is preached in religious schools that is breeding all this intolerance.

Whatsup: Day after day, week after week, these heinous racists spew their venom in an obviously coordinated onslaught to inflame the rakyat to use violence against one another.

Let's hope the rakyat are not that gullible, especially the 47 percent who made it possible for Umno do this.

The racists are hell-bent on creating mayhem and they have four years to do so before sucking up to rakyat with money and electoral promises again. Pray the rakyat can see through their ploy.

Tan Kim Keong: So what do we suggest we do with Zulkifli's apology for being a racist and bigot when he insulted the Hindus, since sorry is no cure for racism?

Echoing him, we must be bold enough to carry out changes and transformation, including shutting down race-based organisations if they are found to be breeding grounds for chauvinists, racists, extremists and bigots. Got that, Zulkifli?

Lao Kor: I didn't hear this racist making any noise when headmasters and teachers of his race insulted non-Malay students.

It's fair to forgive those who have sincerely apologised for their wrongful acts. This racist had apologised before for insulting the Hindu community, but not forgiven because he didn't change his mindset and behaviour after the apology was made.

Not Confused: I too can recall incidents - like the headmaster who had his students eat in a toilet area, and another who told her students to return to their countries if they didn't like Malaysia.

There are other similar incidents, so why is this brain-dead Zulkifli flapping his mouth once again. He has been firmly rejected by the electorate but still insists on showing his rabid mouth to everyone. We're just not interested.

Fairnsquare: All racists, including Perkasa, must be condemned. Zulkilfli and Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali should be charged with sedition for all their racists rantings.

The teachers, if their actions were racist, should also be charged. This racism must end. In fact, all race-based political parties should also disband or initiate moves towards merging into a multiracial entity.

Malaysian Born: For the record, Zulkifli, it is not a Malay government. It is a Malaysian government and will always be a Malaysian government. Any patience or forbearance it shows is hopefully shown to all Malaysians equally.

Where there are mistakes, I am sure they will be dealt with appropriately in accordance with the laws of the land and certainly not based on political gamesmanship.

Zulkifli has no intention to protect anyone but to find ways to attack and criticise the opposition. No harm actually but when it starts becoming a racial attack trying to spread disunity and bad blood between the people of the country, this cannot be accepted.

Tholu: By the way, isn't Deputy Education Minister P Kamalanathan, an Indian, who had been magnanimous and forgiving towards the man who punched him in the neck?

Didn't the assaulter commit a crime under the Penal Code and could be fined or imprisoned, or both if he had been charged in court.

But he said 'sorry' and got away with it. Zulkifli, need I say more on your blinkered and biased views and comment which are a flagrant exhibition of a totally intolerant and vengeful human being?

Anonymous #95676433: Why isn't it clear to everybody that the root of all our recent racial problems is because of the deliberate policy of certain self-seeking politicians to insist and continually segregate Malaysian by race.

Why is the BN government not recognising us all as Malaysians? Why keep talking of Malays, Chinese, Indians, what have you? We have a Malaysian nation yet the government insists on stressing on racial divisions.

We have lost so much time and we are losing more time in building a united nation. We really need a government which has a will and is genuinely committed to getting everybody to think and act as Malaysians, period. Up to now, it’s all lip-service.

Oh Ya?: All racism and religious bigotry must be condemned but why it has become the ruling elite's privilege that they can escape punishment when they are the ones who commit it?
