KINIBIZ The delay in getting the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) for  KLIA2 is not the issue in staying on track towards  KLIA2’s May 2, 2014 opening target, said acting Minister of Transport Hishammuddin Hussein.

“The issue is whether we can get the trials going,” said Hishammuddin during a site visit to  KLIA2 today. “And we are practical, we don’t have to wait for something to happen before we can get the trials going.”

Touching on the sewerage and drainage systems, the acting transport minister said those are issues which do not affect safety and therefore should not be a hindrance to the overall completion of the airport.

Hishammuddin was referring to the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (Orat) process which precedes the launch of a new airport facility.
