‘Ikan kembung’ sold at 55sen per kilo in Kepala Batas

However, in other states it was priced at RM2.30 per kg in Bilion Baling, Kedah; RM6.50 per kg at Taiping Market, Perak, and RM8.99 per kg at Giant Damansara City Centre.
Prices of consumer goods were displayed via the consumers portal www.1pengguna.com of the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry today.
Medium sized ‘ikan cencaru’ was sold at reduced prices of RM4 per kg in Dungun Market, Terengganu; RM4.90 per kg at Pacific Alor Star Mall, Kedah and Pantai Supermarket, East Coast branch Kuala Krai, Kelantan.
In the federal capital, ‘ikan cencaru’ was sold at RM5.99 per kg in Pasaraya Ong Tai Kim, Sentul; RM6 per kg at the Pudu market and RM7 per kg in Pasar Harian Selayang, Pasar Harian Seksyen 2, Wangsa Maju and Chow Kit Market.
Meanwhile, standard chicken was sold at a reduced price of RM5.98 per kg in supermarkets and hypermarkets compared with RM6.80 per kg in wet markets across the country.
Tesco hypermarkets in many states like Tesco Extra Cheras, Tesco Jalan Tanjung Pinang, Tesco Penang and Tesco Kota Star, Kedah, offered the same price.
The Fama wet market in Tanah Merah, Kelantan was also selling standard chicken at RM6.80 per kg; RM7.20 per kg at the Kluang Market, Johor, and RM7.50 per kg at the wet markets in Temerloh, Pahang, and in Kuala Perlis, Perlis.
Grade A chicken eggs were sold at RM3.20 for 10 eggs in supermarkets and at RM3.60 at wet markets in most states.
Among the vegetables, red chillies were sold at prices as low as RM6 per kg in Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) wet markets, followed by RM6.49 per kg at Pasaraya Besar Bilal, Kota Baru, Kelantan; RM6.99 per kg at Maslee Wholesale supermarket, Pontian, Johor; RM7 per kg at Chowkit Market and RM7.88 per kg at TLC Hypermarket, Taman Shamelin Perkasa.
Long beans were sold at prices as low as RM2 per kg at the Ipoh wet market, Perak; RM2.79 per kg at the Family Store, Jasin, Melaka and RM3.90 per kg at Pasaraya Aneka, Kangar, Perlis.
