Dr M: Kajang voters bored with PKR's political games

Tholu: Dr Mahathir Mohamad, why say, "The country will be destroyed ...”? You surely are aware that the country has already been destroyed, and destroyed by no less a power crazy, greedy and unscrupulous person as you.

You are the last person in this country, nay in the world, who should be talking about respecting laws.

We have not forgotten the Salleh Abas debacle, masterminded and executed by you. It forever changed the landscape of the judiciary from an independent to a subservient one, dancing to the executive’s tunes.

The people are also eagerly awaiting the report on the findings of the RCI (royal commission of inquiry) on Sabah illegals.

Many have already arrived to the opinion, based on the RCI's proceedings, that it is a foregone conclusion that you were the architect of the whole treacherous machinations of the 'citizenship for votes' scheme.

Also no one has any doubt as to how your children and your cronies became multi-millionaires overnight - and yet you have the audacity to talk about being law abiding.

Before this, the ‘Allah’ and ‘kangkung’ issues were hot, but since the announcement of the resignation of the Kajang state representative and that Anwar Ibrahim was to be the candidate, both issues subsided and Umno has taken a softer approach.

WDA: Mahathir, you said that the country will be destroyed if you have a leader who does not respect the law. We could not agree with you more.

Not only did you not respect the law and the ruling made against your party, you were so upset with the independence of the judiciary that your government in 1988 tabled a bill to amend articles 121 and 145 of the constitution.

These amendments resulted in the powers of the courts being limited to only what the Parliament might grant them.

The 1988 constitutional crisis and the unjust removal of the lord president and five Supreme Court judges severely eroded the independence of the judiciary and the country has never been the same again.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's government in 2008 did the right thing to apologise to Salleh Abas for the serious transgressions committed by your administration.

How can you compare the damage that you inflicted on the independence of the judiciary with the forced Kajang by-election?

Kingfisher: Here is another sanctimonious opinion from one who is reputed to have subverted the independence of the judiciary.

This tongue-in-cheek advisory from Mahathir is disconcerting even in old age. The rational advice for someone who has continuously demonstrated no compunction and remorse for one's own abject failing is to atone for past sins.

Senior Citizen: Mahathir, I have been observing your activities of late and I am afraid I have to tell you this. You are already very, very old and you should not at this age start interfering with the current politics in this country.

It is not that you own this country or because you founded Malaysia. You were a PM once and that is over. Don’t take it is if Malaysians should be indebted to you till your death.

There are too many Malaysians insulting you, left, right and centre. They feel you are more a nuisance and that you are not wanted anymore.

I have heard from first hand that people curse you so badly that many are even praying for your death. That is truly bad.

Perhaps it is time you retire quietly and spend your time on prayers. You have sufficient money and perhaps you can start a foundation to help the orphanages, single mothers, or even old folks’ homes.

Fair Play: Senior Citizen, all people grow old. But for a selected few, they would never grow up and face today's realities no matter how old they grow.

The more Mahathir talks, the more he would undo the good he had in his 22-plus years at the helm of the country.

Wonder who would be very bored? Certainly, not the voters in the Kajang by-election because they have another chance to kick the butt of MCA again, perhaps this time even harder.

Mushiro: Mahathir fears Anwar, talks Anwar, dreams Anwar, sees Anwar, hallucinates Anwar, blames Anwar, hates Anwar and curses Anwar.

But the problem is Anwar does not have much time for Mahathir.
