Umno leader defends slap bounty on Teresa Kok
Avenger:
The Taliban are willing to kill those they disagree with. To their thinking, there is no room for civilised debate.
There are some people in Malaysia who are taking us on the way to a violent and lawless society. Embarrass them deeply about their lack of principles and they will try to divert to irrelevant issues of race and religion.
I think that it was Ben Johnson who said that patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.
Odin: Penang Wanita Umno chief Senator Norliza Abdul Rahim, grow up. I am a Christian, but I would not want to see anyone insulting Islam - or any other religion for that matter.
Because I am an adult and I have sense. Just what is on the video that insults the Malays and Islam?
Anonymous_4196: Though I disagree with Seputeh MP Teresa Kok's video , I disagree even more strongly with her accusers, who are making the false allegation that the video insults the Malays and Islam.
Are these people trying to provoke racial and religious tension and risk national harmony for one’s selfish gain?
Rajakera: It is about time the police either just filed away these stupid, groundless and baseless reports or told the persons lodging them that there were no grounds for lodging them. They are a waste of time, have no legal standing and are becoming a joke.
Every idiot and his dog are ready to lodge a police report for no reason at all and on grounds that the police by right, should not be taking any action at all as there is nothing illegal being done.
Unfortunately, there are just as many reports where the police should be taking action but no action is taken. Does our police force need retraining in the law, or are they deliberately doing the wrong thing?
One more thing to be fixed when Pakatan Rakyat takes over - clean up the police force of 'criminal' police personnel and incompetent ones, too.
Rojak: I finally decided to look at this video and I failed to see any grounds to object (apart from overacting, but I don't think the makers are going for an Golden Award).
It’s a satirical criticism of political and economic policies involving issues everyone is aware of. There is no incitement to violence, no racial insults. Or am I missing something?
If we stop political criticism or satirical humour merely because some groups (who have probably never seen the clip) cause trouble, then the country really has not future.
Blast: These police reports are almost like posting a complaint on Facebook. If only the police was independent of the Umno regime and governed by the legislation of the country and not at whims and fancy of some pathetic political entity.
Hot Khong: Although it is already so obvious that all these so-called Islamic NGOs are just stirring s**t on behalf of Umno against DAP, they could at least try to show that they are truly Islamic by demonstrating in front of Swedish-owned Ikea and burn the Swedish flag because the Swedish government arrested a Muslim Malaysian couple because the mother allegedly smacked her child's hand for not praying.
If these NGOs make the call to slap any Swedish person, then I will actually believe these NGOs are really Islamic.
Not Smart: “You cannot blame them for wanting to slap her as they do it in the heat of the moment,” Norliza said.
What a joke. Norliza's ‘heat’ comes two weeks after the incident by lodging the police report. These people have got nothing better to do but just to fan a dying fire and create disharmony. Norliza, you better go back to your sleep.
Versey: Some senior told me that with this type of politicians around, one can never dream of having a chance to see our local talents produce masterpieces like ‘Yes Minister’, which they so enjoyed watching.
According to them, Malaysia is a real boring place to live in with dumb politicians who not only lacking humour but are downright abominable.
Malaysiaformalaysians: Justice will always prevail, that's what I've been brought up to think; with logic and most importantly common sense and I truly believe most Malaysians have that sense in them.
Please don't let those ‘kangkung’ Umnoputras ruin us as a nation and I do believe we as a young nation will live through this hard times and grow together regardless of race and religion. I implore you, Malaysians, to stand up for our rights.
Oriole: Well, this is interesting. So now that the police are after these thugs, we see the defenders coming out to save their followers. Malaysians can now see who exactly is funding and aiding these hatemongers, isn't that right Umno?
Anon1: Ruling government politicians have plenty of free time to do this because there's nothing else to do.
Foreign investors have packed up and don't wish to invest here, we do not have a core economy except for construction "projects" dished out to BN warlords (who in turn sub-contract them to other warlords) paid and funded by taxpayers to keep the 47 percent happy.
Indeed, we do not have any leader capable of stimulating economic growth and we have lost out to Thailand and Indonesia on foreign investment and tourism. So the main activity is to cling to power by any means, including the creation and prolonging of all diversions.
Doc: It sounds like these Wanita Umno women in Penang are riding on Teresa Kok’s 'Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014' clip in the hope of currying favour with the most powerful woman in Malaysian politics - Rosmah Mansor.
In short, they are trying to ‘angkat’ her.
