Proving she will not be cowed by those threatening to assault her over a video she produced, DAP's Seputeh MP Teresa Kok returns with yet another satire.

This time, in the form of a poem for Valentine's Day, which lampoons a remark made by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak over the price of kangkung and the subsidy cuts on sugar.

The poem was posted on her Facebook account along with a picture of a mandarin orange in keeping with Chap Goh Meh.

The orange is half-peeled, with the peel fashioned to look like the orange is offering a hug.

Chap Goh Meh, which means "15th night" in Hokkien is celebrated on the 15th day of the lunar year and is seen by many as the Chinese Valentine's Day.

The cheeky poem reads:

Roses are red

Violets are blue

When flowers are too pricey

Kangkung will do

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Sugar is sweet

It may give you diabetes too

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Kok's satirical Chinese New Year video prompted right wing groups to offer up to RM1,200 to those who would slap her.

They claim the video insults Islam and Malays, a charge Kok vehemently denied. She has lodged a report on the threat.

National broadcaster RTM had also suspended a sitcom pending investigation over complaints that one of the cast member had also acted in Kok's video.
