MCA vows to 'bury' Anwar in Kajang

Onyourtoes: Malaysians have finally wised up - no amount of conjuring and persuasion is going to make a difference. Malaysians are fighting against time to save themselves from this hapless and renegade regime.

Liow Tiong Lai, as the president of the great Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), you should at least for once stand in Kajang and let us the people decide your fate.

Can’t BN see the Chinese are ever willing to give up a Chinese party president and a Chinese assemblyman (CC Lee) for a Malay candidate?

Fair Play: Who knows, the Kajang by-election might well be Liow's Waterloo. Instead of burying Anwar, he might end up as the MCA president who bury himself by engaging in cheap talks.

Tholu: Liow, you BN politicians are a pathetic lot especially when it comes to confronting opposition politicians in elections. Your insecurities and trepidations starts showing up amidst your hollow rhetoric.

Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the same thing with regard to DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang’s bid for the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat in the 2013 general elections.

And just to jolt you to wake you up to reality, even if you succeed in ‘burying’ Anwar in Kajang, you would not have buried his political career. Do not forget that he is the MP for Permatang Pauh and the opposition leader in Parliament.

Hishammuddin Hisham raised the keris and played to the Umno Malay gallery, issuing threats against the Chinese to enhance his image and status as champions of the Malays. He was immediately roundly condemned and cursed by the furious Chinese community.

Then along comes this young puppy dog Chew ‘Mei13 Fun’, who decides to lick up what Hishammuddin spat out for her campaign trail in GE12. She issues a blatant warning to the Chinese community to vote for BN to avoid a recurrence of May 13. She is that stupid.

Not only did she ignore the condemnation of Hishammuddin for his keris ‘sandiwara’, she was so dense to the mood amongst Chinese that she believed at the time that the Chinese who were not cowed by no less than Hishammuddin would be frightened by her.

MCA suffered a near whitewash in Selangor retaining only one parliamentary and ons state seat in GE12. Today, after GE13, MCA is completely wiped out in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Negeri Sembilan. And Liow still talks big.

Corgito Ergo Sum: How can a party mired in its own inability to content with Umno even be considered for this Kajang seat?

You do not even have a representative in the cabinet, which automatically forfeits your right to make a case to those in power on matters affecting the constituency?

And to have the gall to say that you can check the state government is a laughable boast. What were you doing during BN's tenure?

You were actually part of the grand scheme to defraud bumiputera and non-bumiputera of the state wealth. I hope your candidate loses his or deposit.

Satay Satay: Why not Liow speaks of the neglect of the Chinese Malaysians by the Umno government?

Chinese Malaysians are under the care of the Umno government since the MCA has been thoroughly rejected by the Chinese.

CQ Muar: Don't trust Liow Tiong Lai, and don't ever believe in MCA and what they can do for the Chinese. For over 55 years or so, they hadn't proven effective - except providing more opportunies for themselves and families.

They became Datuks, Tan Sris, directors of GLCs, given contracts, perks and so forth. They remained silent on countless issues afflicting the Chinese community in order to avoid conflicting with the ruling government and PM Najib Razak.

The only thing they cleverly harped on are Chinese education and schools. They stayed away from matters sensitive to Umno, but jumped into action praising Najib at every opportunity.

The Chinese voters in Kajang must rally and prevent such bootlickers by rendering them support. You are all blessed with the good fortune to have Anwar to serve and administer your welfare.

Vote against all opportunists - our children depend on us to pave a brighter future for them in this country.

Wira: Umno will surely regret letting MCA contest this seat. The latter candidate will lose Chinese votes to the PKR Malay leader by a margin of at least 8 to 1.

Multi Racial: My prediction - both the MCA candidate and Zaid Ibrahim will lose their deposit. All must understand, the people despise BN for been dishonest and continue create friction among the races who have been happily living harmoniously.

All these years when Malaysians were less educated and no technological means for them to access to the truth, these people got away with their lies and cheating. But they can't anymore.

It is not that the people like Anwar. We know it is not right for Anwar and PKR to do this (by forcing a by-election in Kajang). But it is because the people hate BN for what they have done and continue doing that the people will vote for the opposition again.

Samuel Ng: Liow, the test of your leadership is to find someone from MCA who is willing to be buried by the Kajang voters.
