Dr M: Voting for Anwar is voting for the US

Slumdog: Former PM Mahathir Mohamed is so consumed by the fear of Anwar Ibrahim becoming prime minister that he is now reduced to talking gibberish whenever he tries to attack the opposition leader.

If you analyse extracts from his recent speech at the Global Peace School event at the Institute for Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, it is that of a senile old man, well passed his use-by date. His comments are immature, nonsensical and futile.

CQ Muar: Mahathir, do all democracies, or for that matter America, advocate running around naked?

You've got a warped mind, prejudiced against the West for personal reasons, thus prompting others to follow your 'doctrine'. For all the evils you had wrought during your regime, we are what it is today.

Your opinion and belief do not hold water anymore - hence, a change in government must be realised and inevitable for the good of all Malaysians in this country.

And what an insult to the great, civil people of the West when you evidently cannot differentiate between allowing each individual the freedom to live their personal lives as they wish.

WDA: So, according to Mahathir, if you want a pro-America government, vote for Anwar. Therefore, the opposite is also true, which is if you want an anti-America government, vote for BN instead.

Does the American president, who will be visiting Malaysia in April this year, aware that he will be visiting a nation led by a government that is hostile towards America (according to Mahathir's twisted logic of course)?

NewMalaysia: Since when has Mahathir become a comedian? Vote for Anwar is a vote for the US government.

Pakatan Rakyat is already the government in Selangor, voting against Anwar won't change that fact all.

And what has LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community) got to do with Kajang by-election? Did the Pakatan Selangor government legalised LGBT?

So, if Mahathir is so afraid of the American government, why not first ask the BN government led by PM Najib Razak to protest/cancel the visit of US President Barack Obama to Malaysia this coming April?

Not Confused: The old octogenarian is at it again - spouting his usual diatribe of nonsense. Demonising the LGBT population, who are unable to defend themselves is about as low and pathetic as you can get.

But then that is his stock in trade. The sooner he's gone from the country, the better for us all.

Onyourtoes: Oh Mahathir, I have heard your ranting many times over, but it is not going to make an iota of difference to the Muslims around the world so long as we have Muslim leaders like yourself and also in many other feudal countries who have remained tribal, parochial and stupid.

It is good to be pro-American, at least it will keep our territories in South China Sea safer. There are neither permanent friends nor enemies in the conduct of our international relations.

Despite LGBT and despite the West walking around “naked”, democracy is anytime better than feudalism, theocracy, autocracy, and third world tribalism. What is the point of covering up when we are corrupted, cruel and stupid to the core?

I am so glad sophisticated weapons have not fallen into the hands of autocrats. I am even happier they are too stupid to develop one.

Mushiro: Mahathir does not talk like a Muslim leader or even a leader at all. He talks like a man who has hatred for and is fearful of Anwar and he is full of vengeance.

He claims to fight for and protect the Malays when it is so very obvious that it is himself and his family that he is fighting for.

Fair Play: Dr M must be having sleepless nights not knowing what is going to happen in the future. Worse still, he is in no position to shape his own future, much less the nation's.

Isana: Mahathir is at his best to prove that he is stuck in the Jurassic era of politics. I pray that you live long enough to see Anwar sworn in as Malaysia's next PM.

Then your life will be complete - a complete disaster before you are called to meet your maker. Be healthy and live long, Tun.
