Ibrahim Ali: Why Chinese sacrificed in Kajang?

Ratbatblue: Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali is so steeped in his right-wing thinking that he views everything through racial lenses. That’s why he cannot understand why a Chinese politician would give way to a Malay in elections.

As politics in this country has always been race-based, it is a welcome change to have PKR and DAP as multiracial parties, even though it could be argued that Gerakan and PPP are similar.

However, there is one major difference here: the latter two are under ‘big brother’ Umno in BN, while PKR and DAP are autonomous.

So, when the bigger picture is seen, it does not matter who did what for whom in PKR/DAP, whereas in BN, every slight thing depends on race. Thus it is of no great wonder why Ibrahim Ali is "so surprised".

However, being a politician with such a ‘coloured’ history, his ‘genuine concern’ on this matter must be viewed with a certain amount of suspicion.

Supporting a Chinese candidate? Hmmmmmmm!

Majoring On The Minor: Ibrahim Ali needs to be taught that when a Chinese steps aside for a Malay, it does not mean 1-0 to the Malays.

Neither is it 1-0 for the Chinese when a Malay makes way for him or her. It will take a revolution of the Perkasa mind not to couch everything as a zero-sum game.

Ali BaBa & 40 Umknown Thieves: It is a ‘Malaysian’ sacrificing for another ‘Malaysian’. Pakatan shows everyone the way how a nation should work.

We have to cut across religion and race to be a united country. Only Perkasa/Umno or BN talk about race.

JamesBond007: A Chinese sacrificing himself for a Malay. Perkasa and Utusan Malaysia should be happy. 1Malaysia thrives in Pakatan, but dead in BN.

Karma: If Ibrahim Ali were a true fighter for justice, he should question the Muslim NGOs for falsely accusing a Chinese of being anti-Malay and anti-Islam. God was insulted indeed as it was used as a ‘tool’ for political gain.

Ibrahim Ali is a pure opportunist and is nothing but a racist. If it is a Malay making the sacrifice, then he will question why a Malay and so on. We never thought of that question as we are not as racist as him.

Ibrahim, as usual is trying to get into the good books of Umno.

Onyourtoes: The Chinese in Pakatan are different. We will sacrifice the MCA president, too, if he chooses to contest in Kajang. We have passed that parochialism which Perkasa is still holding on to so dearly.

We believe a right party with right policies and manned by people of character will raise up every Malaysian. Almost a cliche, it is the content of one's character that matter, not the colour of one's skin.

Jiminy Qrikert: The Chinese are being sacrificed left and right. (Former Kajang assemblyperson) Lee Chin Cheh was sacrificed to make it possible for Anwar Ibrahim to contest in Kajang.

Now, MCA is being sacrificed in this by-election. Umno knows this is a 'sure lose' fight and it conveniently concedes that Kajang is traditionally contested by MCA.

MCA vice-president Chew Mei Fun is being sacrificed to avoid Umno being embarrassed by a huge defeat.

So now all Kajang Chinese must be so incensed by all this sacrificing of Chinese, they must now vote for Herman Tino. At least, they can enjoy his dangdut singing. And Anwar’s knees are shaking over Ibrahim's brilliant revelation.

My Opinion: If it was an Indian assemblyperson, the ‘katak’ (frog) will say PKR marginalises the Indians. If it was a Malay, then the ‘katak’ will say Anwar succumbed to Chinese pressure.

Son Of PJ: Frogs will be frogs, this particular one can't make up his mind which direction to jump...

Kamikasi: Ibrahim is a survivor and an opportunist. The only way is to be a champion of Malay rights and keep up the ante of race-based animosity, and money will keep coming in from you know who.

He doesn’t care about Malay dignity. His actions practically rubbish the Malay culture of tolerance and friendliness.

Sadly, he could not admit that BN’s poor showing in GE13 is partly due to him and his Perkasa colleague, Zulkifli Noordin, bad-mouthing other races.

Well Thats Fantastic: Why do the media keep reporting what this nobody has to say? Come and take a statement from me, at least it might be an intelligent comment.
