DPM: Anwar an adviser to Selangor only in name

Vijay47: BN deputy chief Muhyiddin Yassin, in keeping with your calling as an Umno politician, you cannot help but scrap the bottom of the barrel in the hope of finding something, anything, to use against your rivals, oblivious to the fact that in doing so, you continue to reveal yourself as a person seriously lacking in intellect.

When you alleged that PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim was an adviser to Selangor in name only, were you perhaps thinking of Persatuan Hindraf’s P Waythamoorthy? Then again, maybe you were referring to Najib Abdul Razak, who is indeed prime minister in name only.

Anonnona: BN is still interested only in making personal attacks. What about the solutions to the numerous problems the country is facing? We need some assurances.

The Mask: I’ve never heard so much accolades given by Umno to an opposition leader. First, it was the MCA Youth chief Wee Ka Siong and now Muhyiddin.

Even Kajang by-election rival Zaid Ibrahim had praises for Selangor MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

These Umno folk are trying to claim credit for the signing of the Selangor-Putrajaya memorandum of understanding (MOU), when it was actually Anwar's move that prompted Umno to press the panic button into signing the MOU in haste.

Kajang voters, don't be fooled by this tactic. Again, be warned and learn a lesson from the 10-point solution and BN’s MOU with Hindraf.

NewMalaysia: That is precisely why we need Anwar to be in the Selangor state assembly either as an exco or MB, not a mere economic adviser. Anwar needs to take up an official post in order to have the authority to make decision and not just advice.

How can a deputy prime minister not understand that an adviser cannot make decision on behalf of the MB? I found it quite amusing that a deputy prime minister actually thinks an MOU is irrevocable.

Try explaining the MOU signed by BN with Hindraf before the13th general election. What happened to that piece of document? Maybe our education minister is not that all well-educated at all.

It's kind a funny that Zaid Ibrahim and Muhyiddin criticised PKR leaders having different opinion, when they just turn a blind eye on what former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, former finance minister Daim Zainuddin and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah have said about the Najib administration. Aren't they from BN as well?

Vgeorgemy: Poor Muhyiddin. He even lost the ability to lie. It was even reported that the cabinet only informed Khalid on Wednesday morning just hours before the MOU was signed.

How on earth Khalid got the time to consult anyone? If we apply the standard of this MOU on the Penang water deal and Hindraf, we need a stronger leader to get it implemented.

CQ Muar: Who is Muhyiddin trying to convince voters in Kajang with all those unsavoury remarks about Anwar?

What credibility has he left to make the desperate effort to 'help' MCA win the Kajang by-election? Did he really think those in Kajang, especially the Chinese, will buy his lies?

To the ruling government, signing an MOU is but a cheap deal to get what they want, only to renege it at their whims and fancies. Such tactics had been seen far too often, and only suckers will fall for their cheap ploy.

As for Muhyiddin, we shall and can never forget those words uttered by him that he is 'Malay First' before anything else. Leaders like him should be shunned.

Survivor: Anwar may not know the hush-hush signing that took place, but he certainly is aware of the discussion and arrangement to take over the water concessionaires.

It can be inferred from Umno Baru giving in to the Selangor state government's conditions on the takeover scheme, that Umno Baru has much anxiety over the ‘Kajang move’ by Anwar.

Too Lan: Will Khalid become another Zaid - from hero to zero? Do we buy Khalid's story that because he didn't trust his exco members he came alone to sign the water deal, yet he trusted BN who came in full force? What a pity as I had high regards for Khalid.

JMC: Those elected must be allowed to do their work without disturbance from opposing politicians. If only BN allowed the Selangor and Penang state governments to manage their problems, no such crisis would have emerged.

Sincere Citizen: An adviser is to give advice when asked for. In this case, every detail had been discussed six months ago. Why must Khalid be given only two hours to make the decision? Is it just because Anwar is in Japan and has more important things to attend to?

Khalid had made the right decision for the rakyat’s sake and Anwar is happy he had done so. Khalid don’t have to wait for Anwar to negotiate for any commission like in any Umno deals, so why wait?

Not Smart: Muhyiddin, you are no better - just like a pot calling the kettle black. You being the education minister can say that you are unclear if the two teachers' transfer was due to the anti-SBA (school-based assessment system) movement. Are you and the ministry doing your job?

Go and resolve the two teachers’ transfer issue before you campaign in Kajang. Please get the Education Department to resolve issues fast so that the children can have a clear direction for their future.
