Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Ragad Kurdi Taib today attended the swearing-in ceremony of state cabinet members and assistant ministers.  

The ceremony held at Dewan Lapau of the Sarawak state legislative assembly in Petra Jaya was also attended by Chief Minister Adenan Satem ( right ), and his wife Jamilah Anu.

The ceremony began with the registrar of ceremonies introducing the members of the state cabinet and assistant ministers for an audience with Abdul Taib to receive their letters of appointment.

It proceeded with state cabinet members and assistant ministers taking their oaths before the Yang di-Pertua Negeri witnessed by Adenan, before signing their letters of oath.      

A total of eight full ministers led by Deputy Chief Minister Alfred Jabu Numpang were sworn in at the ceremony, followed by 19 assistant ministers.
