The ‘Istisqa’ prayers will be held simultaneously at all the 207 mosques in the state to seek for rain after the Friday prayers tomorrow, said state executive councillor Abdul Malik Abul Kassim.

Thus, he urged Muslims in the state to attend the prayers and pray that the dry weather experienced in Penang would end.

“We urge the people to wait a little longer after the Friday prayers to join in the Istisqa prayers,” he said at a press conference in George Town today.
