Two more followers of the ‘Tuhan Harun’ deviationist teachings were charged in the magistrate’s court in Kuantan today in connection with the murder of Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) principal assistant director (enforcement) Ahmad Raffli Abd Malek last year.

They were Shamsinar Abdul Halim and Jefferi Safar, both 37. However, no plea was recorded from them.

Shamsinar is jointly charged with Sumustapha Suradi, 40, and another person, who is still at large, with murdering  Ahmad Raffli at Lorong IM2/29 Bandar Indera Mahkota in Kuantan on Nov 10 last year.

As for Jefferi, he is jointly charged with the leader of the deviationist teachings, Harun Mat Saat, 48, his wife Azida Mohd Zol, 30, and a driver, Shaizral Eddie Nizam Shaari, 38, with conspiring in the crime that led to the killing of Ahmad Raffli.

Sumustapha, Harun, Azida and Shaizral Eddie had been charged with the respective offences on Dec 16 last year.

Deputy public prosecutor Amer Abu Bakar Abdullah, who prosecuted, then requested for the case to brought before the Kuantan High Court.

Magistrate Noor Zaihan Mohamad Ali allowed the application and set the case for mention at the High Court on March 17.
