The decision of the trial of the Malaysian couple in Sweden is expected to be announced two weeks after the last day of trial which falls on March 14.

Chairperson of Volunteer Lawyers For All (Sukaguam) Khairul Anwar Rahmat said the prosecution will call 10 witnesses to testify on Monday.

“Several witnesses will give evidence on Wednesday, including those who have direct bearing with the family and several referred to by their children during interrogation.

“Witnesses expected to be called by both sides include their school friends, teachers, social service personnel and neighbours,” he said in an email to Bernama in Kuala Lumpur last night.

The trial of Tourism Malaysia officer Azizul Raheem and Shalwati Norshal began on Feb 18.
