PARLIAMENT BN’s Kepala Batas MP Reezal Merican Naina Merican has accused Pakatan Rakyat politicians of using the disappearance of the MH 370 Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight to Beijing as a “political commodity”.
PARLIAMENT BN’s Kepala Batas MP Reezal Merican Naina Merican has accused Pakatan Rakyat politicians of using the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 flight to Beijing as a “political commodity”.
Reezal ( right ) claimed that following former Perak menteri besar Nizar Jamaluddin’s tweet suggesting a new Bermuda Triangle has cropped up off Vietnam waters where the plane disappeared, Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad at a ceramah in Kajang last night went on to say that the incident should be used as a “political commodity”.
Mansor Abd Rahman (BN-Sik) said Pakatan has not done anything to be in solidarity with or to help support efforts to find the missing plane.
Minister: Don't make fun
Earlier in the morning, the House observed a moment of silence for the passengers and crew of the ill-fated flight, upon the request of Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan, left ).
Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia also urged the MPs present to pray for the plane to be located under the rescue works going on.
The flight went missing in the early hours of last Saturday morning off the coast of Vietnam, with the search-and-rescue efforts entering the fourth day today.
Meanwhile, Communications and Multimedia Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek also expressed disappointment and sadness over the attitude of people who made fun of the incident.
"It is most saddening. When a tragedy occurs, the people should come together. We cannot make fun. It is easy for some people to say that anything associated with or stated by the government is untrue," he said.
He was commenting on those people who continued to make fun of the incident on the social media, making irresponsible statements which pitted the people against one another.
Ahmad Shabery said the people must understand that the disappearance of the MAS aircraft was something out of the ordinary and which required expertise to unravel.
