Malaysia Airlines will carry the MH318 and MH319 new flight codes for its Kuala Lumpur-Beijing-Kuala Lumpur service from tomorrow, the airline said today.

The flight codes MH370 and MH371 were being retired as a mark of respect for the 239 people on board its MH370 plane which went missing on March 8 en route from the Malaysian capital to Beijing, it said in a statement.

A massive multinational search has failed to locate the missing aircraft so far.

The airline said that effective tomorrow, flight code MH318 would be used for the Kuala Lumpur-Beijing route while the Beijing-Kuala Lumpur sector would use flight code MH319.

“There’re no changes to the frequency of our services and we’ll continue to operate double daily services to Beijing.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families of our colleagues and passengers of MH370,” MAS said.
