Three men were charged in the magistrate’s court in Kota Tinggi today with the murder of the Semenchu Wanita Umno branch head, Zalfah Jamaluddin, 68, on Feb 28.  

Amirul Syahid Mohamad Razali, 20, Hairulnizam Salleh, 25, and Mazlan Kassim, 21, all of whom were from Felda Semenchu, were alleged to have committed the offence at the victim's house at No. 36, Blok 2, Felda Semenchu, at 12.20pm.

All of them stated that they understood the charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code which was read out before magistrate Mazana Sinin.

Mazana set April 22 for re-mention of the case and the autopsy report on the victim.

Deputy public prosecutor Suhaila Shafi'uddin appeared for the prosecution while all the accused were not represented.
