Chew unveils '3E' to fight crime in Kajang
KAJANG BN Kajang by-election candidate Chew Mei Fun will implement a '3E' concept to fight crime if she is elected.
KAJANG BN Kajang by-election candidate Chew Mei Fun will implement a '3E' concept to fight crime if she is elected.
Berita Harian reported today that Chew was prepared to roll out the plan for Enforcement, Engineering and Education, based on her past experience as Petaling Jaya Utara MP.
"We need enforcement and engineer more street lights. Education means that we need to raise anti-crime awareness," Chew said after visiting the early voting centre at the Kajang police headquarters.
Meanwhile, Minister of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Abdul Rahman Dahlan has committed to back Chew.
He said that Kajang will become like the "adopted child" of BN if the people give the ruling party the mandate on March 23.
"Picking a candidate that can bring change and development to Kajang is a serious matter.
"Don't pick a candidate that rallies for sympathy votes or for being loyal to her husband," Rahman Dahlan was quoted as saying.
The Umno MP was referring to PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who will be battling Chew in the polls.
