9.30pm: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin slams Pakatan Rakyat leaders who keep talking about issues surrounding the missing MH370 aircraft during the Kajang by-election, which he claims is "totally irrelevant".

In a simple meet-the-people session at low cost flats at Taman Tasik Sungai Chua, Khairy repeats BN's claims that this election has nothing to do with Kajang but is only an engineered way for opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to be the Selangor mentri besar.

"The Pakatan campaign says nothing about Kajang, but instead, they talk about MH370, as if the aircraft is now in Kajang.

"PKR doesn't care about Kajang," says Khairy to the 50-strong crowd mainly dominated by members of the Indian Progressive Front (IPF), a BN-friendly political party.

The attendees then make a beeline for buffet-style refreshment after listening to Khairy's 15-minute speech.

6pm : Chew Mei Fun attends an Umno Senior Civil Servants Retirees Club event at the Hulu Langat District Education Department where she appears warmly received.

She laughs each time she is referred to as 'YB' reminding each time that the term is meant for elected reps.

Although she is beginning to lose her voice from campaigning, her spirit remains strong.

"I am still in high spirits. I will win if I get your support," she tells the 60 odd participants

4.30pm: PKR Wan Azizah Wan Ismail says she is flattered by banners that say she is more Chinese than BN candidate Chew Mei Fun and hopes it will win her more Chinese votes.

She says this after attending a bowling competition for youths today at the Metro Point mall.

Despite not being an experienced bowler Wan Azizah bowls a few times and even manages to get a split.

2.55pm: The afternoon rain has cooled off the Kajang campaign today, but has also revealed how bad the district's drainage is.

After just an hour of light rainfall, some roads, including in Sungai Chua, are covered with water, up to calf level in some areas.

Both PKR and BN have vowed to tackle this problem if they win the by-election.

11:45am: A group of PKR reps from Perak and Penang announce their 'Jom Balik Mengundi' (Let's Go Home and Vote) campaign aimed at about 2,000 voters living outside Kajang.

Heading it, Kuala Sepetang rep Chua Hee Ling says PKR needs "all the votes" it can get to ensure their candidate PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail wins a landslide on polling day this Sunday.

Chua also says they need to remind Kajang voters in the final three days of campaigning that the Kajang Move is a referendum for the people against the BN federal government.

She says the three main things being highlighted are the injustice of the judiciary, increasing cost of living and good and services tax (GST) implementation next year.

"This is a referendum to show that the people are against the abuse of power by the BN government," she says.

After that PKR-friendly NGO Jingga 13 demands that BN candidate Chew Mei Fun apologises to the Selangor government for wrongly blaming them for the death of six teenagers at a pop concert in Kuala Lumpur last week.

Jingga 13 chief coordinator Fariz Musa says blaming Pakatan for the deaths at the Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) at Bukit Jalil due to drug overdose is unwarranted as the event is under the Tourismand Culture Ministry.

11.30am: Commenting on the spike in business licensing fees in Selangor, BN Kajang candidate Chew Mei Fun says this is what happens when a state government is too strong.

"When a state government is too strong, they will renege on their promise. Previously they had told everyone that they will lower assessment rates and business license fees, but now this has proven to be untrue.

"Not only is it untrue, but they have also raised it (assessment rates and business license fees)," she tells reporters at Kampung Bukit Angkat today.

Thus she says there needs to be an effective opposition, a role she wishes to fill.

When pressed on the situation in other states where BN has a commanding majority, she says that the right assemblyperson should be supported regardless of their political affiliations or race.

She also reiterates that she will put the people's interest above politics and says she won't simply blame the Pakatan state government, and hopes they will cooperate with her too.
