Moderate air quality in 22 areas as at 2pm
The overall air quality nationwide was good as at 2pm today except in 22 areas where it was moderate, according to the Department of Environment (DOE).

The DOE website reported that the 22 areas were Muar (51) in Johor; Alor Setar (52), Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani (61) in Kedah; Balok Baru (55) in Pahang; Jalan Tasek, Ipoh (75), Kg Air Putih, Taiping (56), SK Jalan Pegoh, Ipoh (53) and Seri Manjung (59) in Perak; Kangar (55).
Perai (73), Seberang Jaya 2, Perai (60) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (71) in Penang; Bintulu (54), ILP Miri (71), Miri (56) and Sibu (57) in Sarawak; Banting (62), Port Klang (62) and Shah Alam (68) in Selangor; Kemaman (53) in Terengganu; Batu Muda (60) in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (94).
An API reading of between zero and 50 indicates good air quality, between 51 and 100 (moderate), between 101 and 200 (unhealthy), between 201 and 300 (very unhealthy), and over 301 (hazardous).
The public could surf the DOE portal at http://apims.doe.gov.my for an API reading for their area.
