Three motorists and 20 motorcyclists skidded one after the other when a diesel-laden tanker lorry sprung a leak, leaving a kilometre-long trail of diesel in Jalan Duta yesterday evening.

A Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the three-tonne tanker lorry’s spillage left the motorists and motorcyclists sustaining mild injuries.

The incident occurred at about 2.20pm.

Eleven firemen were involved in a clean-up operation after sealing off a section of Jalan Duta.

The operation was completed last night.
