Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has been ticked off for ‘centralising too much power’ in his hands.

Ng Suee Lim (DAP-Sekinchan, left ) told the Selangor state assembly that it appeared as if Khalid does not trust his own exco.

Debating the motion of thanks on the royal address, Ng attributed weaknesses in the Selangor government to this centralisation, claiming it happened to an extent where other exco members have "no work to do".

"Power is concentrated at one place only. Too much power is in the hands of the menteri besar...” he said.

“What is wrong if power is delegated to Sekijang (Ahmad Yunus Hairi), Sabak (Sallehin Muhyi) and Seri Kembangan (Ean Yong)?”

Ng said that only then can the performance of the exco members be evaluated at the end of the year.

"Don’t be a one-man show. It will be our undoing if this (administration is) a one-man show," he said.

The three-term state assemblyperson said he hoped Khalid would heed his advice.
